What is

Your motivation to do well? Whether it be fear of failure, or hate of losing, anything. What motivates you?

why is it

That I see people walk away from God because of how people treat them?
You should not just simply walk away from God because of what people think of you, most people are hypocrites themselves, me being one. I know how it feels to be discriminated for your ideas, or feelings. I just suggest that you don't give in, and you don't let people's persecution and hatred get in your way.
Feel your worth every single day and know that you're an individual who is going to be persecuted for being different. Everyone feels it at one time or another, you're never alone. And if you feel alone, you can talk to me or anyone else who you may trust or feel comfortable with. It's not a good feeling, and I don't want any of you to hurt with the feeling of worthlessness.
Thank you for reading.

faith

Everything I hear from people is about how their life, or even how I go about things. How life isn't going the way that they want it to, or I want it to. I've been thinking quite a bit about this, and it really makes me feel weird how just because of the way my life is going at the time, I'll act differently toward people who are completely innocent toward the reason I am feeling that way. The point I'm getting at is very simple, don't place your faith in something temporary, this goes along with my post from a couple days ago. Just because you feel faithless right now doesn't mean tomorrow everything won't change. As far as you know, your whole life could be changed in one day just because you've placed your faith in the right or wrong things. So, just try to place your faith in what you think would direct you into the correct path of life. If you live according to what's good, and what is righteous, not much can go wrong.

A book I read today

I was reading a book called, Our Daily Bread, earlier. It's a daily devotional book, hence the name. And to any of you that happen to know me personally, I'm not going through the greatest of times, but it'll all work its self out in the end. Keep in mind, I've not opened this book in nearly eight months, or so. I flipped to June fifth.
The title of this page was "A Nineteen-Mile Fall"
The scripture related is Deuteronomy 33:27
I'm going to paraphrase his whole page, so try and bear with me.

"On August 16, 1960, U.S. Air Force Captain Joseph Kittinger Jr. sat in a gondola suspended from a high-altitude balloon. When the balloon reached 102,800 feet above the surface of Earth (more than 19 miles), Kittinger jumped out. Four minutes and 36 seconds later his main parachute opened at 18,000 feet, but not before he had attained a velocity of 614 miles per hour! Kittinger carefully planned his record-setting descent.
In the spiritual realm, we're more likely to find that life is filled with unexpected free-falls. The loss of a loved one, a broken relationship, or a terminated job can make us feel as if we're dropping into the unknown. For believers, however, there is a spiritual "parachute"     The loving arms of God.
Thousands of years ago, Moses wrote these words to the Israelites just before he died: "The eternal God is your refuge and underneath and the everlasting arms" (Deuteronomy 33:27). The words "everlasting arms" refer to the protection and preservation of God's people. Despite the stressful circumstances they would surely face, they could rest in the assurance of God's watchful care.
Do you feel as if you're in a free-fall? Take heart. God's loving arms are there to catch you."

"O the sweet unfailing refuge
Of the everlasting arms;
In their loving clasp enfolded
Nothing worries or alarms." -Hennessay

It's odd how I take things into consideration when people speak, even if it's cliche. "God works in mysterious ways", is one of the things I'd consider in this situation. Although a cliche, the words make sense when you look at them in this retrospect. It's a really great thing when I'm able to open a book randomly and feel comforted because I know who is watching out for me, and who will always be there for me.
I appreciate you reading once again, thank you.

I haven't made a post in a while.

So, I'm going to make it a meaningful one to me. It's a very big deal, and if you don't agree, don't act in an angry manner, I apologize for your views being different than mine, but we're all individuals.

After searching through my room for my bible, I thought about how this symbolizes our culture in the world we live in.
There is so much of a mess around us we forget to prioritize what is good, and what we desire. Most people choose desire over what is good, because the temporary feeling of happiness or fulfillment makes them feel nice. Versus what will give them fulfillment in their lives forever.
I find this very scary and true. Our world consumes us so much, that we see so very little of what actually matters and what should be priority in our lives. What makes it worse is, we can sit in our homes and do nothing about it, while living happily in apathy toward the culture in the world. Whether it be drugs, sex, or plaguing deception, people buy into it like it's the greatest thing ever without thinking twice about it. This is where we need to wake up and live for what is right, not what feels good. You know what I'm talking about if you've ever felt the pain of guilt, or conviction. Conviction is a good thing, it's really something that you should take into consideration when you have that little bit of pain in your stomach that you say is probably just you being nervous. That is what conviction feels like, especially if you've felt guilt after doing something, so just keep that in mind. Live with conviction, live without regret due to it. Thank you for reading. :D
